One thing I like about the cinematic DC universe is the casting decisions. Just about every person cast in the films have been pretty spot on. Well, almost everyone. Today I learned that Willem DaFoe is joining the Justice League films in a currently unspecified role.
Willem Dafoe, who played the Green Goblin in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films, has joined the cast of Zack Snyder’s upcoming Justice League, EW has confirmed.
The Hollywood Reporter, which was first to report Dafoe’s casting, notes that he’ll play a “good guy,” but no other details on his role were provided Tuesday.
DaFoe being announced as a good guy helps differentiate things but I have to admit I’m a bit surprised by which side he’s on. I like the idea of him being involved, but I’m still apprehensive about these films.
