The first trailer for the new Wolverine movie, simply titled ‘Logan’, is beginning to trend online so naturally I’m hopping on the bandwagon. I’m going with the international trailer since it’s slightly longer than the domestic and is a bit more stabby.
We get a decent look at Old Man Logan and there are hints as to whom else may appear. Boyd Holbrook is theorized to be portraying Donald Pierce of the Reavers or something in this movie but I feel like he reminds me of another, more recent, character that’s known for blackmailing Logan in the future named Black Butcher. In the comics there were guys all over that would prey on the defenseless and blackmail them for goods or worse.
Likely the Reavers are pursuing X-23 with Logan and Professor X attempting to escort her to someplace safe.
Stray Observations:
- Old Man Logan looks a lot like Old Man Gibson
- A tuxedo? Really? Why?
- Wolverine’s clone confirmed!
- This trailer is missing a true villain. Boyd seems like a mid-boss rather than a main threat
- How the hell is Professor X alive?
- Where are all the mutants?
- Where’s Deadpool?
