Bill Skarsgård is taking over the makeup after Tim Curry in the new film and we have our first look at Skaarsgard in full makeup, check out the full image:

“It’s important that we do something fresh and original for this one. It’s purposely not going toward that weird, greasy look,” Skarsgard tellsEW. “It truly enjoys the shape of the clown Pennywise, and enjoys the game and the hunt,” the actor says. “What’s funny to this evil entity might not be funny to everyone else. But he thinks it’s funny.” And the creature even shares some traits with its victims. “There’s a childishness to the character, because he’s so closely linked to the kids,” the actor says.

I remember this clown terrifying me and causing nightmares as a child. I’ve been apprehensive to even write about this movie due to undeniable childhood trauma caused by this movie which robbed my of my appreciation of clowns. I seriously can’t stand them at circus’ or carnival’s and between this and Jack Nicholsan in Batman I don’t care for mime’s either. What do you think of the new look? Are you looking forward to this film?

Not sure how much more I can write about this without finding a hole to bury my head in shortly after. We’ll see… that’s all for now.
