“Cloverfield Lane” Blu-ray Release Date Announced

Finally the announcement of the release date “Cloverfield Lane” on Blu-ray and Digital HD. The movie no one heard about coming out, at least didn’t hide the release dates of the DVD. The Digital HD version will arrive on May 31st, while the Blu-ray Combo Pack is set to arrive on June 14. That’s exciting news. I’ve been looking forward to seeing the movie again and analyzing it further. Here is my initial review of the movie.

The Blu-ray special features are set to include:

  • Feature film in high definition
  • Commentary by director Dan Trachtenberg and producer J.J. Abrams
  • Over 30 minutes of Behind-The-Scenes Footage

I’m curious to find out what those 30 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage will contain. This is really still the sleeper film of the year. Mainly due to the strategic mystery that surrounds the franchise, which is in part a unique and good thing. If you missed “Cloverfield Lane” when it hit theaters, I highly recommend checking it out on Blu-ray of Digital HD if you can’t wait till mid June.
