This Star Trek Into Darkness Cinemosaic poster is kinda clever…

I remember when I first saw a flash video for the first time in my life. It wasn’t much but some black text moving along a white background with maybe some cheesy MIDI music to accompany it but I remember seeing the potential immediately way back when. A decade or so later and movie studios are finally catching on that their promotional materials online can do some interesting things with the right imagination and this mosaic is a nice example of exploiting a clever concept for the benefit of this:

 

 

That’s kinda neat. Not entirely mind blowing to those of us who use a computer for more than an hour a day but I can’t remember seeing anything else like this in recent memory so it stands out. May 9th is fast approaching…
