The Hobbit cast discusses the contrasting darkness of “The Desolation of Smaug”

— Posted by The "Superior" Anthony

The Hobbit was one of my most anticipated films of 2012 and left little to be desired when it was finally released. I should have an overwhelming desire to learn more about the next film in the trilogy, but that’s not the case. It’s more of a slow build up which will undoubtedly reach a fever point closer to release but every now and then I see something that reminds me “I’m really f’n looking forward to this movie”. That said, a new featurette was released on the UK Yahoo site in which a few of the cast members discuss just how different this next film will be from the last…

The hobbit was my favourite movie of 2013 and I'm really looking forward to the next part. The movie really had a magical feeling like all the the LOTR parts. I really enjoyed the story line and they way the tensions and surprises build up. The acting was brilliant by all the actors however, Gandalf was my favourite character as he was in the LOTR trilogy. Overall I think it's was brilliant film as it had magical story line, full of surprises and action. It also had some some emotional scene and funny scenes. My favourite line had to be when Gandalf says: " if you do, you will not be the same".

I recommend The Hobbit to everyone and mainly those who have seen the lOTR trilogy and people who have passion in action and adventure films.

After reading the books, I can only imagine the next movie out. I loved the Hobbit and the production in its entirety.

I can only imagine its awesomeness.

I thought the first film suffered quite a bit from being more dark/gory than it needed to be.

@JamesM you are joking right ? Dark & gory - what film were you watching, their is nothing dark - it is a light hearted film, the second and third part is going to be dark - if you thought this was dark then you have seen nothing yet.

@RyanGlasgow1

Are you suggesting that Anthony has mislead you into thinking this was a trailer?

Or are you merely stating this isn't a trailer just incase there was some doubt in our minds?

There is no mention of this being a trailer.

RyanGlasgow1

@Dan_Bam well when he first put up the post it said trailer, thanks

@Dan_Bam He does seem very intent on letting us know this isn't a trailer, one post wasn't enough.

RyanGlasgow1
