I’ll keep this one short. I pretty much spilled my excitement for The Hobbit yesterday when the trailer was released but this news poster once again offers some enchantment with it’s ominous tone and intriguing imagery. Check it out:

The second in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.

Beautiful. The other side of that door is begging for exploration. I know what’s on the other side but the journey offers to be a spectacle. Watching the trailer yesterday reminded me about the HFR 3D. I personally loved the HFR and I can’t wait to see the next film in the series as it seems to be the only one in sight utilizing the format.
