‘Star Wars’ spin-off movies now…what is going on?
— Posted by Ryan
Recently we covered a story about one of the writers for “Empire Strikes Back” being involved with the next three “Star Wars” films. Now there is information revealing that the upcoming trilogy could be a spin-off rather than a continuation.
Spin-off films about side characters might not be such a bad thing. According to Huffington Post, Disney has plans to release as many as three films a year from the LucasFilm lineup. I could see Disney following an “Avengers” type formula by introducing characters in multiple films and then grouping them together for one big blockbuster. What do you think readers? Is this a formula for success or disaster? This post was written by :

He has been an avid fan of both the theater and cinema since an early age and his passion for both has been continually growing ever since. When dissecting a film, he focuses on all elements of film-making including some fan/cult factors. He believes that character development is the foundation of a good film and usually starts his analysis of a film from there moving forward. His writing style may be influenced by his background of narrative and argumentative studies in the subject, but he tends to enjoy a more conversational style to better interact with the readers, unlike some other pretentious and pompous writers. Don't ruin Star Wars plz :(
Well honestly from the pre-Avengers movies that were made to build up the main one, I only really liked Iron Man 1. The others weren't exactly bad, but were nothing special for me. IMO - the fewer the films, the better the quality.
dRadnev Agreed, I'm getting nervous about 3 movies a year, etc. Just start with one good movie and go from there.
