It’s hard not to be interested in what the Wachowski’s are cooking up with their next film ‘Cloud Atlas’. It’s a very ambitious film with a complicated story to tell throughout. Right up their alley. Not only that but the acclaimed directors have compiled a wonderful cast for the film including Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Hugh Grant, Susan Sarandon, Keith David, and more. We haven’t seen much of the film outside of concept art but thanks to the folds at EW we have a couple of actual photos from the film to assess.

Synopsis: The powerful, inspiring epic Cloud Atlas explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution.

 

The cast is impressive but I’m still apprehensive. I love that first Matrix movie as much as the next guy and I’ve been trying to maintain optimism but it’s not easy with these two. Are we ready to welcome back the Wachowski’s? Hell, if we’re giving Shamhammer another shot why not?
