Peter Jackson is in high gear these days as he’s busy working on The Hobbit, releasing set photo’s, producing films and television programs, and releasing dev diaries from his production of the Hobbit to the masses. Today we learn he has no plans of slowing down and, according to Steven Spielberg, he will begin working on Tin Tin immediately after wrapping up photography on The Hobbit.

…caught up with Spielberg where he of course confirmed Jackson will be directing, even though he “wanted to do it.” He went on to say that Jackson plans to begin “right after he finished photography on The Hobbit. He’ll go right into the 31, 21 days of performance capture.”

As for a story, he played coy saying that rumors of The Calculus Affair could be false, even though he likes it…

I’m pretty excited about this news as we really liked “The Adventures of Tin Tin” around here and I’m excited to see what Peter Jackson can bring to the table. He’s follow up after Spielberg! That alone is a daunting enough task and Peter Jackson is one of the few directors I believe could actually compare to his works on some level. After the 2nd Tin Tin movie is finished it’s still a coin toss as to who’ll take on directing duties for the third film and I can’t wait to see how this plays out.

I’ll keep you guys posted…
