With Comic Con revving up to go into full swing next week we’re starting to get some early looks at some of the featured events/items from the show even now. We already got our first dose with the recently released poster for The Hobbit and now we’re treated to another poster, and for the former Hobbit director Guillermo Del Toro’s latest film no less, Pacific Rim in which men are but mere ants to the machinery that they’ll pilot.

Incredible that these guys were able to get us a poster for the film and it’s a very telling poster for those who are unaware of what’s in store. There will be robots fighting and no Hugh Jackman in sight. The world will be in danger from an alien threat and Will Smith is busy elsewhere. This is Guillermo Del Toro’s return to filmmaking and he looks to make a big impact and leave a lasting impression. I like the psoter and how it translates teh scale of the robots and tickles the imagination for the on-screen action and design. It’s a good teaser for now and I look forward to them continuing development and providing us with some footage as soon as possible
