New Smurfs Trailer Online

— Posted by Rodney

A new trailer for The Smurfs has hit the net, and its a little different from the last one. But not a lot different.

Now I figure the same crowd that loved Alvin and the Chipmunks, Garfield and Marmaduke are just going to eat this up. I kind of wish Papa and Smurfette’s voices were closer to the tv characters, but they sound like they will work.

The rest of us are going to pretend we are only going to this for our kids and try to grasp some nostalgia from Saturday morning cartoons in the early 80s.

I’m bringing a bowl of sugary cereal.

The film should have taken place entirely in the Smurf Village. The whole “out of their element” thing is completely played out.

Agreed. They could have made a nice movie, but smurfs running around a modern city? What, they can’t think of any other way to make a story interesting than having pappa smurf get stuck in a vending machine?

when I heard Hollywood is going to make a Smurf movie, I wasn’t pleased… at all.

but now that I’ve seen this new trailer, looks like they managed to keep the essence and charm of the cartoon series. and I’m looking forward to watch it too, with a bowl of coco puffs, for nostalgia’s sake!

    Frankenberry for me dude.

This should give me instant hives but somehow it doesn’t (and I really didn’t care for the cartoon series as a kid) The Smurfs look pretty good and I’s loves me some Sophia Vergara!
