Deadline is reporting that Jodi Foster and Matt Damon have signed on the South African director Neil Blomkamp’s latest film “Elysium”. The mysterious project is only Blomkamp’s 2nd directorial feature film and has received a healthy helping of talent joining District 9 star Sharlto Copley in this mysterious sci-fi adventure.

I think it’s an intriguing touch when the guys behind anticipated movies like these keep them shrouded in mystery and can certainly add an appreciable layer of surprise by finding alternative methods of promoting movies aside from the typical press releases and movie trailers. Check out the viral clip that was previously discovered for the film as it certainly helps build anticipation until the film is released. So far I have to say that I am definitely looking forward to what’s in store when this movie finally releases as I have to admit I’m curious to see if Blomkamp has another gem on his hands.
