David O. Russell updates us on Uncharted

An interesting article popped up on Geek Tyrant regarding an interview with David O. Russell and IGN. He’s been out promoting and encouraging nominations for his film ‘the Fighter’ and also polishing off the script for Uncharted and had this to share: Geek Tyrant ![]() I would love to do that with Mark [Wahlberg], Robert De Niro, and a couple of hot women, it could be very thrilling. and later added this jab for some still wanting the movie to closely reflect the game: …I want the gamers to be happy. I have total respect for the game. My kid loves playing it, I love playing it. I just want to create a world that takes it to another level, that’s another amazing world that’s more cinematic. I know there’s still a good amount of people still upset that Nathan Fillion won’t be playing this role but I for one am not one of them. I loved the game, and I like Wahlberg and I think that he has the capability to really provide us with a great performance in this role. I feel even more comfortable considering that these two have received so much recognition and accolades after recently working together on The Fighter. It certainly seems like he has a clear vision of where he wants to take this movie. This post was written by :
