‘Dark Knight Rises’ Teaser Poster Released

Keeping in line to some degree with the pallette sceme of the previous film’s one sheet art, the advance teaser poster for The Dark Knight Rises has been released. In short, folks, this is how it is done.

CBS News/Celeb Circut unveils:

Warner Brothers has released the teaser poster for next summer’s much-anticipated followup to “The Dark Knight.”

“The Dark Knight Rises,” directed by Christopher Nolan, once again stars Christian Bale as caped crusader Batman.

And folks, word is getting out FAST that a teaser trailer will be shown in front of this weekend’s Harry Potter’s final class at Hogwarts. It’s also expected that teaser trailer will be not too unlike the teaser for the previous Bat-film, where it was simply a voice over over a batsignal. I myself expect a chant- but it would be sweet to hear Anne Hathaway’s purr-ty voice too! We shall find out soon enough. In the meantime, your eyes have probably already wondered to the image below…

I would normally ask you what you, the int’l friends think. But I suspect something like that would be hanging framed on a wall somewhere in your room…?

you know harry potter’s going to be making serious money this weekend by people coming to see the teaser alone

Quite the opposite. They intentionally placed this teaser ahead of that film BECAUSE Harry Potter is going to have some serious attendance this weekend.

Not one person is going to go out of their way to see Harry Potter who isn’t a Harry Potter fan JUST to see this teaser.

This weekend the teaser will be available online anyways. Harry Potter will get Harry Potter fans. Die hard Batman fans (that are not HP Fans) are going to wait by their computers to see the teaser.

Makes sense because HP will be over and WB needs to tout their next big thing and which better place to do it than the showing of the last HP film in theaters.

Love the poster. Very clever.I’m looking forward to this more than ever now that I know Liam Neeson will be in it.

This may be a little out there, but if you look directly under the left bat wing there is something that looks shaped like the Superman Logo. Nolan is connected to the new Superman movie. Can’t wait till next summer!

uuh…dude I do not see a Superman logo anywhere. How do you guys spot these things? or how do you imagine these things. hehe

It’s not the Superman S, but a piece of falling broken glass (left side, under batwing, close to edge) next thing you know someone will swear that the see a reflection of Bane somewhere in the falling asphalt…or the Riddler Question Mark. (I say that in jest; don’t bother looking for either.)

While excited for the film, I think this poster is terrible. I mean the bat in the empty space is clever I suppose, but is just not an attractive poster.

    Can’t fucking wait
