New Concept art for The Chronicals of Riddick: DEAD MAN STALKING

It’s been pretty quiet on the Chronicles of Riddick front aside from the occasional Facebook update and image leaks from series star Vin Diesel. Well, he’s at it again but this time he’s showing us a jackal.

Idunno. Looks like a werewolf from the Underworld films but with snake skin. I want to see more of the design before I approve or decry this image. Looks neat, but it also looks… typical?

I’m looking forward to seeing more from this movie to hopefully wash away any lingering bad sentiment toward the last live action film in the franchise. I loved Pitch Black but really didn’t have the same response to The Chronicles of Riddick. I did very much enjoy the animated Dark Athena and hope they decide to use that as a reference point as well as to how to proceed in the franchise.

No Not another pitch black I liked The Chronicles of Riddick better, anyway he is now lord marshal so it should follow on from there.

  2. Chaos Agent says:

Wasn’t the production shut down in Montreal not too long ago because they were not paying the people working on set or something. If that was true I don’t know if it has resumed filming yet.

Concerning this picture I hope this “dog” will not look as shitty as the ones in Chronicles in the prison. CG animals rarely work IMO, you can always tell.

  3. KB says:

I liked both of the first two movies, so I hope that this will be good.

I really want to see more Riddick. Don’t care how bad the last one was.
