New Set Photos from the Amazing Spider-Man

A couple of new photo’s popped up online for the Amazing Spider-Man and my first reaction was “They’re still filming this movie?!” It feels like production has been going on for a bit shorter than “eternity” but a bunch longer than “forever”. Either way the opportunity has arisen to see new photo’s for Spidey and that’s never a bad thing.

Not too different from what we’ve already seen in this movie but it is re-assuring to see something from the production. I still have some healthy doubts regarding this movie but I’d still be very happy to eat any and all of my negative criticism if the movie winds up being a home run.

Like many others… i dont give a +”!# about this movie, we all wait 2012 only for The Avengers and The Dark Knight, nobody wants to see another Spidey movie, at least not the “origin story” again, i think this will bomb at the box office, and the web slinger will return only for “The Avengers 2″, when Marvel recovers the rights from Columbia.

You know, just because you’re not interested in a Spider-Man reboot doesn’t mean that nobody else is. It’s certainly not going to bomb. It’s Spider-Man for god’s sake. He could spend an entire movie breakdancing and he would still be able to get theaters sold out.

Honestly, I don’t get this obsessive hatred over the reboot. Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies weren’t that good. Tobey was bland. Aside from Doc Ock, the villains were underwhelming. And, let’s face it, Sam Raimi made Spidey more angsty and whiney than ever.

I, for one, can’t wait to see a new interpretation of the webslinger. He’s my favourite Super Hero and his last three movies don’t hold up that well. A new spin on the tale could be just what the doctor ordered.

I don’t think the movie will bomb. Spider-Man 3 was a critical nightmare and went on to crush the box office. People really do love Spider-Man so this movie will make the studios some money.

This movie is fighting an uphill battle but it’s foolish to judge before you’ve watched the film.

Is it just me or does Andrew Garfield look like Peter Parker?

I agree with AstaretMX. I’m not the least bit interested in seeing a remake of a movie they released a mere 9 years ago.

I’m willing to give this movie a shot. But it’ll be hard pressed to compare it to the Tobey Maguire/Sam Raimi versions.
