UPDATE: Is this the Amazing Spider-Man’s Lizard concept art?

**We just received a leak of possible concept art from the film to go along with the Pez Dispenser.**
The hot topic online right now is a possible first look at the design of the Lizard from the upcoming Marc Webb’d Amazing Spider-Man. A common place to sometimes find unrevealed details for a movie such as this is with the merchandise and we get today’s look at the Lizard from a Pez Dispenser. Seriously.

I’m having a hard time taking this thing seriously, but I’ll give it my best shot. I’m underwhelmed. It’s a very humane looking design and I held out hope for something a bit more fantastic. Personally I prefer the Todd McFarlane rendition of the character but I’m willing to give this design a shot if it looks better when we see the actual makeup and/or CGI version of the beast. Hopefully Sony catches wind of this reveal by a Pez Dispenser no-less and decide to release some better promo shots to better represent the character and give us a better look.
** And what a difference a day makes! Today we got our hands on an image rumored to be concept art of the Lizard to give us a better look at the character. I’m really liking this better from what I was imagining upon initial viewing of the dispenser. I’m still not a huge fan of the face of the monster but just about everything else is really working for me. I’d really like to get a look at some official, non-blurry, images of this thing mixing it up with our favorite wall-crawler soonish. What do you guys think of this look? Not scary enough?

So far, the Sam Raimi-directed Spiderman movies are still my favorite. We’ll see if this rebooted Spidey flick measure up to the Raimi films.

I expected more… He doesn’t look reptilian to me. The Lizard ought to have a beak of sorts with big gnarly teeth shown.
