Directed and written by Bruce Robinson adapted from the novel by Hunter S. Thompson, Johnny Depp takes up the pen as Paul Kemp arriving in Puerto Rico to write for a local San Juan newspaper.
Copious amounts of drinking and the odd hallucinogen fuels this trailer for Johnny Depp’s next journey into the mind of Hunter S. Thompson.

The reason the title is great is because it is based on the book written by Hunter S. Thompson. The Rum Diary was a fantastic book.
