World’s Greatest Extra

There are some actors you just see everywhere because they are A-List actors, but where would they be without the extras filling out the crowd and playing those unnamed characters?

One such nameless hero has popped up in the background a lot, and someone with too much time on their hands has found a number of productions this A-List Extra has been in.

You have seen him.

Reminds me of Judith Hoag, who played the first (and best) April O’Neil in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live action films in the 90s. That girl just kept popping up in commercials and bit parts everywhere. She’s had a little more success than this guy… I know her name.

Even the guy who made this youtube video didn’t list the actor’s name.

Question comes to mind: Does he actually make a living doing this? (I can imagine it takes up alot of time being an on-set extra)

    What could he actually earn?

That’s awesome. And the music makes it so epic sounding.

His name is Jesse Hyman I believe. Director Todd Phillips talks about him on the audio commentary for Old School

The thing is, this guy isnt just an extra. If somebody has any line (any line at all) he is now no longer an extra but an actor. However, this guy has done a TON of “Featured Extra” work. But he has also done commercials and has had several tiny parts in movies and tv shows. He’s no slouch. He’s working every angle like everybody else out here in Hollywood.
