Zombieland 2 Cast Issues

— Posted by Ian Fay

It seems Zombieland 2 could be in a little bit of trouble, due to the stars either having better offers or just not being interested. Woody Harrelson has been kind of negative when refering to the sequel:
Total Film Via Get The Big Picture
“I’m sure it will happen, if everyone does it, but I’m not sure it’s the right thing to do,” Harrelson said. “I don’t feel like a sequels guy.”

Harrelson also mentioned loving the first one so much that a sequel wouldn’t be any good in comparison.

“It’s one thing to do it when it came out real good and it made a lot of people laugh, but then to do a sequel…99 out of 100 are worse by a lot. So I don’t know,” he explained.

The same article speculates that because Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone had such great success with The Social Network and Easy A respectively, that they will have many better options to choose from.
Personally, I dont see the need for a sequel. The first one was great, I loved it. It was a great stand alone story.
As for the younger stars being too successful to go back? Thats bull, if they enjoyed working on the first one, I’m sure they’d go back. I also think that due to their improved reputation in Hollywood now, that a sequel staring them would get more publicity.
Any of you guys enjoy the first one, or want a sequel?

zombieland is great one of my all time fav zombie movie. Why it is a great stand alone store in the first one. A zombieland 2 would be another all time fav. zombie movie. Right up there with (The Walking Dead) happy zombie hunting.

Zombieland doesn't need a sequel. It's a nice, fun, standalone film.

More Z-Land plz!

I think they should do a sequel. it wouldn't be that hard to pick up where it left off. maybe they meet some new people and one of them leaves(which would Probably end up being Tallahassee because Columnus is the main character and him and Wichita started falling in love at the end of the first one so Wichita can't leave and Little Rock cant leave because her and Wichita vowed to not leave each other) and maybe in the end they find 1 tiny village that hasn't been touched yet. see guys? now that wasn't so hard. NOW MAKE THE FREAKING SEQUEL! thank you:)

I loved Shawn of the dead. It WAS my 5 year old son's favorite movie, until zombieland. He watches it every day and sometimes twice. I know all the words to this movie from listening to it while I'm cooking or dishes or whatever I might be doing while he's rolling aroud on the ground pretending to be Tallahassee or Columbus. Sometimes even the girls.. lol. I told him that if they make a zombieland 2, that I will take him to see it at the movies. He looks for updates on the computer every day. He will be crushed if they don't do a sequel. These actors need to remember why they do films in the first place. FOR THE FANS.... AND THE FANS WANT MORE.......

I would love to see a sequel, I believe they can come up with another great story. There's no need for a return of the cast they can cast an entirely new crew and run the movie in a left 4 dead manner. This new crew would exist in the same world and maybe even come in to contact with the original crew, but like a comment before me said, it'd be in the spirit of the original inspiration of the movie. This movie is one of my favorite zombie movies and a sequel wouldn't take anything away from how good it is

i think that the idea of a zombie land 2 idea would be great, like communism is great it will only work in theory. they have pretty much covered up all of the plot in the first one the two girls got to go to pacific play land and Columbus found out that his parent are dead and it all ended with a nice "i have a family touch" all that is really left is for either one of them to die or get bitten. if one of them dies it will put a constant downer on the movie and it will derive away from the comedy. if one of them gets bit they will be running around like a chook with its head cut off to find a cure. either way it doesn't sound like a good idea. just let the good movie be

I'm not entirely sure a Zombieland 2 would be a great idea, I mean, which direction can the writers go that they didn't already? Finding the cure for Zombie-ism? Having Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone's characters decide to repopulate Earth, while Woody Harrelson's character goes on a hard target search for a live woman he can repopulate with because Abigail Breslin won't succumb to the advances of a 50 year old man? Oh my God... I think I just wrote Zombieland 2!

That movie was great... I'd *love* to see another. They really should reconsider, it's not the kind of movie that seems very hard to follow up on.

I don't think that the question should be if a sequel is made. Rather we should ask why should it be made. 1) Is there enough material not incorporated in the first movie? 2) Will the original cast seem tired and subsequently run and on like Pirates Of The Caribbean? 3) If you do manage to do a sequel, increase your FX budget and get Tom Savini or one of his students.

Realy liked the first one, the combination of blood and comedy made it realy something. I think a sequel will do no good at all!

am I the only one on this planet that thought Zombieland was a complete mess upon first viewing? So I rewatched it and it kinda dug a little place in my heart,

Didn't Harrelson say he wanted to do a sequel right after the first one hit theaters?

If they want to make a sequel I would prefer it be in the spirit of the original tv idea that Zombieland came from. If I remember correctly it was a series of vignettes with completely different characters and situations but set in the Zombie apocalypse

Though I'd personally love to see a sequel, I don't think one will be gracing the silver screen anytime soon. I do understand Woody Harrelson's reluctance; sequels are hit-or-miss, and the first Zombieland was so good and so hilarious, it would be difficult (but not impossible) for a follow-up to do the original justice. And, besides, the writers need to concentrate on penning a Deadpool script first. :)

I thought ZombieLand was fun, thanks most in part by the Fabulous Cameo of Mr. Murray, by the time his part came up I was getting weary and he refreashed it a bit. The opening sequence(and music) was great though and carried me in. Didn't think much of Emma in this one though. Easy A was a better fit for her.

No zombie film will EVER compare to Shaun of The Dead for me. Ive watched it over 60 times. I'm obsessed with it, and edgar wright in general.
