Cage talks up Ghost Rider 2

Nic Cage is trying to curb some of the nerdrage and over judgement already aimed at Ghost Rider 2.

ScreenRant quotes Cage

“It is a completely different film. The first one, which I won’t denigrate — I liked the first one, but it was almost like a fairy tale. Almost like a Disney fairy tale interpretation of Faust. This one is completely re-conceived, it’s not even connected to the first one, it’s a different origin sequence. But I think it will be a brand new experience. It has more adrenaline involved in the film making process itself, and in the movie when you see it.”

Cage talks a good talk and I hope that he is right.

I really havent been excited about this when I found out Cage was returning. I was not a fan of the first film, and I am sorry to say I felt like Cage was just a tad bit to old for the role. Besides his age, there were many other things about the film I disliked as well.

I’ll watch the second film, but I am not holding my breath for greatness.

    Well that’s a relief!………Not!

“it’s a different origin sequence” does that mean reboot with the same actor. If so, maybe there’s hope for Tom Welling.

Cage sounds like peter molyneux when he’s trying to get folks to fork over money to buy a new “better” version of the game Fable. Just like Molyneux, Cage’s words are more than likely just empty promises. The first movie was terrible in every way. The whole process is hampered by the fact that Ghost Rider is not a well known property and there have been so many versions of the character, there is really no concrete mythos to built upon. Good Luck Cage, you’re gonna need it!
