Here’s our first look at January Jones as Emma Frost for Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class. After a series of casting rumors where the gig went to both Rosamund Pike and Alice Eve at some point, Jones was chosen by Vaughn in the end. Enjoy…
I know that the movie is set on the past, but this just looks so-so. No biggie here, hopefully we’ll get to see Emma Frost (Jones) in full white lingerie action! That’s what we want to see. No? January Jones is one gorgeous, sexy woman. Damn. Oh, and she’s pretty good in Mad Men too.
What do you think of the shots? Clothes? January Jones as Emma Frost? You diggin’ the vibe?
The X-Men in the swinging sixties. Looks good I guess.
I can’t really take her serious playing anything but “Mad Men”. She is just one of those actresses that are going to have a tough time leaving that bubble.
Is it sad that I am more excited by the helicopter? It looks like the one from the 60′s Batman movie.

I hope the setting is in a cold environment, since her powers weren’t ice based.

Well, Emma Frost isn’t known for being all smiley and warm, so sounds like a good casting based on that. ;)
We’ll see how this movie pans out. I wished Bryan Singer directed ALL XMen flicks . But he did that Superman Returns movie. Hope he sticks with XMen for good.
At first I was thinking From Russia with Love (in a good way) but then I reminded myself they set this film in the 60s…so yeah, I was thinking From Russia with Love (1963).
