Rumors, rumors, rumors…gotta love them. Specially one like this one. The rumor reports that the beautiful Kim Kardashian is in negotiations to star as Lara Croft in a Tomb Raider reboot…

Let’s just go ahead and brand this one with a big fat rumor alert right off the bat. The news comes from Global Grind, which not only purports that Kim Kardashian is being considered for the lead role in the new Tomb Raider movie, but she’s already in negotiations to play Lara Croft. According to their unnamed source, “Kim is wanted to play a far more comic-strip version of Lara which would be shot in 3-D and aimed at a teen audience.”
KK is beautiful, hot & sexy. There’s no denying that. But playing the lead (Lara Croft) in a feature film? I don’t know about that. She doesn’t have any real acting talent. Yes, she could work her ass off by (lol) taking acting classes and getting in some other movie roles as experience etc; but talking the lead in a franchise that was established by the likes of Angelina Jolie? Too hard. I mean, she received a Razzie nomination for Worst Supporting Actress for Disaster Movie. And even worse, she lost out to Paris Hilton. Lol.
Also, all this talk about this rumor online, doesn’t give me a good vibe about what the studio is doing in regards to the franchise reboot. Gotta’ step it up and get serious.

That is a horrible idea.
Angelina was good because she can act.
Kardashian is just a rich socialite with no acting experience other than reality shows, cameos and a sex tape.
Comic strip version? 3D? Why not add a wacky CGI sidekick while there at it.
I think it is about time for the big one and drop Hollywood into the ocean.
There are plenty of young women who are actual actresses with resumes to choose from to resort to Kardashian (she might be able to act but she hasn’t shown it yet and I don’t think a video game movie is a good proving ground).
Summer Glau? Just sayin.
I don’t think this rumor has ANY merit what-so-ever and it has nothing to do with the studio or the producers. I may not be the biggest Jolie TR fan on the planet, but don’t downgrade!
Rhona Mitra (a fmr TR model) would be a far better choice anyway.
I’ll even accept Jamie Murray in the role.
All I want is an actress with the build. But actress comes first.

I’ll just go ahead and say it, Angelina Jolie was a horrible Lara Croft! I hated her in the role personally.
As for KK, yea this has to be a joke. Kim should stick to pin up calenders and such. She sure would look great in those tight little shorts though, wowsa.
I think this is perfect. She is the hottest thing going right now and she does a fantastic job of acting in that movie she is in with Ray-J I mean did you see the feux passion in her face. Gotta work on the Brittish accent though
