Neil Patrick Harris Confirmed for A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas!

Just announced, Neil Patrick Harris will in fact return from the dead to appear in A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas! He confirmed this while chatting on the set of the Smurfs when asked what was going on with his character in the franchise.

Hollywood.com breaks:

The most interesting - and definitive - piece of information that he gave me was that he will, in fact, re-team with Kal Penn and John Cho for A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas, which is currently filming in Michigan. Even though he was mowed down by Beverly D’Angelo’s madame in the 2008 sequel Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay, NPH will make a glorious, unexplained return to the series.

Now as NPH appeared to meet his end, we did see a hand emerge from the ground that we have to presume is the glory protected soul of the immortal NPH, and he will make his return for the Christmas themed third chapter of Harold and Kumar’s adventures.

NPH is made of awesome, and he owes these guys his career. Until he showed up in their film he was “that kid from Doogie Howser” and even Starship Troopers didn’t put him on the map. John Cho even jokes that 80% of NPH’s income is fed to him as a finders fee for rejuvenating his career!

Bring it on boys!

I thought at the end credits of Guantanmo Bay he is shown actually slowing rising up and grunting “Mother Fucker!”. If I am correct then he didn’t really die, just shot and severely wounded. And NPH is just too awesome to be dying in a movie, it just cannot happen.

yeah nph never died, why so many people don’t know that?

  4. DAVE says:

Awesome news. He is the best part of this franchise.

Does anyone else feel that NPH should have his own Dean Martin-ish variety show at some point down the line? Out of all the celbrities out there, he’s the only one that could pull something like that off. The boy’s a triple theat, dammit!

  5. Afee Tadeo says:

Yeah.. “NPH” didn’t die. He got up pissed off after the ending credits.
