Ray Liotta will join the cast of rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s newest film project, a sports film titled Things Fall Apart. The story centers around Fiddy’s character, a college football player who is diagnosed with cancer.

Actor Ray Liotta has recently joined the cast of 50 Cent’s movie Things Fall Apart. Liotta, who is known for a variety of movie roles such as “Something Wild” and “Narc”, will play a doctor in the movie. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson cowrote the script along with Brian Miller. Jackson is also executive producing the movie alongside Randall Emmett through the rapper’s Cheetah Vision Films.
50 Cent’s film career has not been a massive success critically or commercially to my knowledge, but this news actually piqued my interest quite a bit. Liotta hasn’t done anything I find spectacular since his voice work in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City but his presensce does make this movie seem more like a serious project and not a cash-grab. I’m more impressed that Mario Van Peebles (New Jack City) is attached to direct. The man’s made some great films involving both sports and underdogs, so this seems well within his realm of expertise.
Bottom line? As far as I’m concerned, anything that keeps 50 Cent away from the recording studio (and by extension my ears) is a good thing.

Joke but I don’t hate his music all of the time. But back to the movie. Ray loitta is really taking any role. and you can’t really be too exiting about this. Even if you care for the director. 50 cent cowrote the screenplay, how good could it be?
I wouldn’t say ‘excited,’ just piqued. Let’s see a trailer, then judge.
I don’t know whether the casting of Liotta makes it a more serious project or not because whilst Liotta has appeared in some great movies he’s also appeared in a lot of rubbish. Don’t get me wrong I like Liotta but the chances are this isn’t going to be any better than half the stuff he’s been in.
I am still holding out for someone to do a biopic on Tony Curtis because Liotta would be perfect for that.
This sounds very wrong to me. But anything with 50 Centipede is bad!
I think i just saw 50 cent in the trailer for Morning Glory, where it looks like it might just be a cameo as him playing himself visiting a morning news show. Does that count as something being bad because 50 is in it?
Yeah movies with Ray Liotta tend to be crap shoots. I’ll have to look at a trailer.
50 Cent dropped 54 pounds for the role. Whether you like his acting or not(I’m not a fan of his acting or music) it’s nice to see a person dedicate themselves to a role.
