This weekend I only managed to get out to one opening flick and it seems that most other movie patrons did the same as Date Night proved to squeak out the mixed review Clash of the Titans for the Number One spot.
Boxoffice Mojo reports:
Date Night $27,100,000 Opening
Clash of the Titans $26,875,000 2wks
How to Train Your Dragon $25,350,000 3wks
Why Did I Get Married Too? $11,000,000 2wks
The Last Song $10,000,000 2wks
There is a very small window of about $2m between the top three contenders making the waiting lines for these films about the same length. What is respectable is that it took How to Train Your Dragon 3 weeks to finally be taking in this kind of cash that it falls to the number 3 spot.
The only other opening film to break the top ten was Letters to God holding that last place in line with $1.25m.

Didn’t see anything this weekend actually. Nothing really interested me to go to the movies. Last weekend, I saw that french film “A Prophet” which was absolutely phenomenal! If it’s playing near you Rodney, I’d suggest you check it out.
Actually, the numbers were done again, and Clash was on top.
