Lindsay Lohan Dropped from The Other Side

Lindsay Lohan must be enjoying this ride down to the bottom. Not even her more notable roles can carry this starlet out of rehab and tabloid fodder anymore.

Her latest project The Other Side has turfed her in favour of “we will look for someone else”

Lohan is out of the cast of The Other Side, with sources indicating producers don’t believe her to be “bankable” anymore. She would have played a graduate student spending her summer working at a scientific institute on some remote island. The rest of the cast includes Woody Harrelson, Eddie Izzard, Anjelica Huston, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews, and Alanis Morissette.

Ok, first off, she is being dropped from a film that stars no less then three MUSICIANS as actors…

Oh how far the super potential have fallen.

Lohan needs to disappear for a year, clean up her act and then sleep with someone to get the role of a lifetime to accomplish a comeback.

I once saw SO much potential in her, and while I never thought she could win an Oscar, I figured she would be a “big enough” star regardless. She had glimmers of real talent, but for the most part she just played the pretty girl.

I wonder if one day we will be watching Mean Girls on TBS thinking “I wonder what ever happened to her?”

I feel bad for Lindsay Lohan. I like her in Mean Girls and Herbie Fully Loaded. These were enjoyable, not terrible, but you know good. I remember back in 2006, when she was the ‘It Girl”. Now it’s just tragic.

I say blame it to the parents!
Her family is such a trainwreck, her Mom and Pop is such an attention whore.
Feel sorry for her, although i never really like her anyway….

I dont feel sorry for her. Its of her own creation (not her parents) that she entered this party attitude and path of social destruction.

Her parents are opportunists, and are trying to get the younger lohan sister in on it too.

Lindsay is completely responsible for her own actions.

Maybe it is her fault but she is only 23. That’s old enough to know better but she has been on a downward spiral since she was a teenager. I wonder what affect it has on a teen when their mistakes are broadcasted to the entire country. I wonder if that could have contributed to her addiction.

It is very easy to say these things when we don’t know what’s going on in her head. She’s obviously a very sick person. Sometimes we lose sight of the fact that addictions to drugs and alcohol is a disease, one that is completely incurable — only treatable. It’s hard to like these kinds of people, but they’re only human beings, human beings thrust into the spotlight at a very, very young age — surrounded by people who have no incentives to telling them no and don’t particularly give a damn beyond what happens to them after their current project.

lindsay lohan as a graduate student working at a scientific institute???

  6. Ash says:

Yeah, she did have some potential. Hopefully she’ll get another chance later on, but I see it as less and less of a possibility as time goes on.

I feel ZERO pity for her. I am 33 years old and have had the opportunity to grow up with some friends from high school who were far from fortunate. They had parents who depended on unemployment checks and fed themselves first before they fed their children. Those friends of mine, all but one went to college and happen to lead very exceptional lives and have never once complained about where they came from or how selfish their parents were for putting them below the poverty level. Lindsey Lohan has been EXTREMELY FORTUNATE to have the option to even throw away opportunities.
Boo hoo for her. There comes a time when you stop blaming your parents for everything and start taking control of your life.

Lindsay Lohan had MAJOR potential, MAJOR potential. Main role i remember from her is from her early kid actor days the parent trap which was excellent movie, some others are get a clue, freaky Fridays. I thought similar to Rodney that she wasn’t like, Oscar worthy at first but big enough of an actress to produce great films.

WOW i really feel for Lindsay, hope a gigantic comeback happens for her.

(*that picture of her reminds me of Megan fox for some reason*weird*)

I work closely with many members of the Rich and Famous.

After seeing the lifestyle they are rather forced into, I’m not surprised these people break down. I mean, imagine having a steady stream of income, and no freedom to use it. You can’t even just do the simple little things like go to McDonald’s, or grocery shop, without it being a huge event. You have to send other people to do that work for you. Which, is kind of where I come in, but still. It’s a sad, slightly depressing life. Every little thing you do is scrutinized by the public.

It’s okay for me to go and get drunk at a bar and say stupid crap to my friends. A celebrity does it, and they are branded for life. These people aren’t role models. These people have less freedom than you and me. So yeah, there’s no surprise when every so often you hear of these little breakdowns. Especially amongst child stars. Macully Culkin, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan. All these people had very rough child star life styles.

I dunno, I think people don’t realize that these celebrity lives aren’t all they are cracked up to be.

This is a bit sad, because it would have re-united her with two of her costars from Prairie Home Companion. (Tomlin and Harrelson), and I’m not joining in on the bashing of the actress. We know she has the chops. We also know she doesn’t always use them (Just My Luck, I Know Who Killed “My Movie” -Me) But this comes (no pun intended) on the heels of her latest gaffe from a week or two ago and the “baby powder”…

She’s been let go of other projects, folks are tired of her drama.
Yes, she can bounce back. But she has to do the bouncing.

  10. Lawrence says:

She’ll be on E! True Hollywood Stories eventually. Count on it.

  11. Justin says:

What ever happened to that sweet little girl from Parent Trap? Where did she go?
