Johnny Depp was recently quoted as saying he hopes that they make a cameo for him in the upcoming Jonah Hill produced re-envisioning of 21 Jump Street.
Screen Crave says:
The film is in development over at Sony, and will be written and produced by Jonah Hill. When asked about the possibility of appearing in the film version of the series, Depp seemed humorously intrigued.“I’m hoping they’ll let me do a cameo,” Depp said with a laugh. “Someone will say, ‘Whatever happened to Tom Hanson?’ and they’ll find me somewhere hoarding jars of peanut butter and shaking in my underpants.”
I love that idea, but clearly this is just something that Depp came up with as a funny idea. I think it would be great to see him in the movie, but not as his old character. Just have him standing in a phone booth or something.
Hill already said that his reimagining would not be a direct sequel or directly related to the show, but rather would just adapt the tv show’s concept for a film adaptation.

I loved 21 Jumpstreet when I was a kid. I might check this new one out if he gets a cameo in it.
It used to come on after Wonder Years I remember.

Richard Greico, e before i,vice versa. I don’t know. Now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a years. I remember this C-grade James Bond type film he did. Locked up in a castle or something. Long time ago. Haven’t seen him since.
