After last night’s Oscars, instead of rubbing elbows with the overdressed elite, Jon Favreau was at home with an itchy trigger finger waiting to Tweet to all his followers that the Iron Man 2 Trailer was live on Jimmy Kimmel, and subsequently spammed all over the internet.

This is the commercial they originally were going to air during the Superbowl but decided to spare some change and let it run during Kimmel’s show instead.
I love it, and I can’t wait to see this. Favs said in a tweet yesterday that it was going to have a scene at the end that was a tribute to the comics, which I hoped was going to be a Demon in the Bottle hint, but instead we get to see the very cool portable briefcase suit in chrome and red.
And the Attack of the Iron Men scene looks great too.
It all looks good.

whooo is like mini transformers in the end, honestly the trailer was ok for me but that ending where he puts on the suit in just a few seconds, i never thought puttin on an armor suit would be so easy, i want one of does suitcase armor suits
I don’t want to burst your bubble but if you actually read iron man you would know that originally the suit was folded up like origami in a suit and he would unfold this “metal” suit to wear. It’s a comic book it doesn’t need to make sense, for you don’t live in the marvel universe.
The park itself looked very CGI/set decoration. It did not look like a real outdoor scene at all.

just awesome…..funny is that the director of this has always been one of my favorite actors in comedies and out of left field he is the real deal at directing
Well at least they made it look more technical rather than that floppy armor in the comics.
Dude really! You don’t have to think with this movie it is just chock full of awesomeness all over and lathered in a sweet Iron candy shell. I simply cannot wait for this, I love where they are going and it is just going to be focus on RDJr and let him take you on a ride with Fav behind the scenes making it all sing together!

It’s just a trailer, “That park looked fake” dude, for all we know it could be a training exercise. NICE TRAILER, the end had me laughing (tears of joy) after I saw that briefcase.

I was disappointed not to see the suitcase suit in the first movie, and was not even hoping to see it in the second. Then, BAM, the suitcase suit. Man oh man, will this movie be the bomb or what?
And that park looks like a training site or something similar, no way they did something that looks so fake without a reason.
The suitcase alone makes this movie a 7/10. However I wish they would have kept that one in their pocket until after the release date…But it was awesome.
I take back all the stupid things I said about the suitcase suit. F*cking awesome. And cool, we actually got a peek at the plot in this trailer. Cannot wait for this movie.

Can’t freakin wait for this movie.
I get the feeling that the park is something Stark has in or around his manor/mansion/whatever it’s classified as. It looks artificial and well kept, which could be why it looks ‘fake’. The shot where Iron Man chucks a cheap-o robot through his boxing ring and the shots of the park couls be part of the same scene, lending support to my theory.
I would lke to discredit the training excersize theory, because the robots in the park appear to be the same robots that Justin Hammer has. I could go on, but that would involve me taking these trailer-bits and turning it into a whole scene.
Thats not a ‘cheap-o’ suit - thats the Mark II suit from the first one, its probably Rhodey (dunno why he smacks him one though so maybe its someone else)
Scarlett kicking ASS! was a turn-on
now we can see that Racecar scene involves Whiplash and a suited Stark we’ll get some “daytime” action. not really lovin the night shots as much. BUT THAT BRIEFCASE MAKES UP FOR EVERYTHING!

Looks so friggin sweet, just nerdgasm’d myself a bit. Love the briefcase suit, I remember they use to bust out that mode in the Iron Man animated series that came out back in the early 90’s. Also Rouke looks friggin huge! Is that really him or is it a suit like they did with Vinnie Jones in X3? Scarlett, so friggin hot. I cannot wait for this movie to come out.

I wonder if theyr hiding another suit - Whiplash Mark II! overwise known as Crimson Dynamo (Hes a mix of both characters though). Rourke’s suit seems too vulnerable armour wise - he’s got the whips but NOTHING else to protect himself from IMs blasters. He’s obviously working with Hammer so why not build a new kick-ass suit; “you could use my resources”. hmmm. I’m glad they havent shown everything yet though, but the Mark V (briefcase) was EPIC!!

This is awesome, it looks incredible, way better than the trailer for the first film.
Watched the trailer and movie seems to be promising.. As it is I’m a big fan of Iron man.. Remember those Cartoon network days…
For people bitching that the park looks fake…
Remember when we first saw the trailer for Iron Man and the tank blowup scene looked like a fucking video game? Everyone raised hell, and by the time the movie came out, it looked great. I’m sure it’ll look fine by May.
Love that suitcase suit!
