Edge of Darkness Poster Online

By Rodney - January 12, 2010 - 13:45 America/Montreal

Its been a while since we have seen Mel Gibson back in action, and he is returning to the big screen with a bang in Edge of Darkness. Check out the edgy UK Poster for the film.

EDGE OF DARKNESS is an emotionally charged thriller set at the intersection of politics and big business. Thomas Craven (Mel Gibson) is a veteran homicide detective for the Boston Police Department and a single father. When his only child, twenty-four year old Emma (Bojana Novakovic), is murdered on the steps of his home, everyone assumes that he was the target. But he soon suspects otherwise, and embarks on a mission to find out about his daughter’s secret life and her murder.

There are a lot of people drawing a comparison to Taken, but after digesting my initial reaction to this I think the anger triggered in a man by the tragic events surrounding his daughter is the only common thread here.

Yeah, the father is motivated strongly by his daughter’s death but I want to see how they play out that emotional burden thinking that he was the target and it got her killed, then when he finds out that he wasn’t the target he has to face the reality that maybe she wasn’t Daddy’s little angel.

This looks pretty good, and I will be catching this at some point.

Looks nothing like Taken. The daughter gets kidnapped in that movie, in this one she gets killed. And I’m assuming Mel isn’t pulling any hand to hand combat in this movie either. Actually, I haven’t seen him do that since Lethal Weapon.

      HaHa
That fight scene in Lethal Weapon was the balls back in 87 but the bar has been raised a little for fight scenes now.

The gunfights in that movie were pretty sweet to me. That scene with the drug-dealers reminds me of the game Max Payne.

Yeah and a albino lookin Gary Busey doesn’t hurt either.

still one of the best Mel films to date.

This poster reminds me of another movie poster, but I can’t remember the name.

I hope this movies turns out great.

Whats with the Mel trying to aim in the middle of a tornado. He can’t hit shit a foot in front of him under such conditions. Maybe he shot his daughter by mistake and is imagining all the rest to comfort his broken mind.
