The Descent 2 Trailer

— Posted by John Campea

I’ve said a thousands times that my absolute favorite horror film of the last 10 years is EASILY “The Descent”. The film had me creeped the hell out WAY before any of the “monsters” showed up in the movie. It was a brilliant use of atmosphere and setting… the two essentially became characters of the movie that consistently had me on the edge of my seat.

We’ve known for some time that The Descent 2 was coming… we’ve even seen some footage before. Now the official trailer is here.

Personally I don’t like the trailer as much as some of the “unofficial” trailers we’ve seen in the past month… but who cares… sign me up!

first descent was good. scared the crap out of in bits .. when i first read about a sequel . i thought no.havin the sequel just ruined the suspence of the first one at end did she make it out or was she imaging her daughter bein with her in cave in front of fire . awesume suspesefull endin makin u think about it and then its ruined by a sequel complety deafetin the purpose of first one ending . anyway . the action in sequel does look a bit better . more hard hittin and violent. but we will c when it comes out

    I agree with Kevin C.

The whole reason the first one worked was because you weren’t sure if it actually happened or she had a psychotic break.

Going back to the cave and getting attacked by a bunch of CHUDs really negates the first movie’s suspense and makes it lame.

So I finally got to my laptop and watched that trailer…doesn’t look very good.

Wasnt the whole point of the first one that you werent sure if the “monsters” were real or a figment of the leads imagination? You didnt know if the cave had crazy monsters killing people or if the women went down there and lost her mind and killed the others one by one. This one looks kinda weak to me.
