Latinreview.com is reporting that Mr. T will NOT make an appearance in the A-Team remake. Sort of a bummer for all of us that remember him as B.A. Baracus.
Here’s the scoop:
One celeb I’ve seen a few times is Mr. T, who is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever talk to. Very humble, but 100% T.
I said hello to him today and asked him if he was going to appear in the A-Team remake. I was hoping he was going to say yes, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
He said it wasn’t about money, because he turned down the chance to appear in the film before that was even discussed. He said it just wouldn’t be right for him to be in it. If his B.A. isn’t the main guy, then why do it? What’s wrong with the film that they need him to make a cameo? Plus they would market the film with him being in it, and he didn’t want his friends and family to think he would have some big role when he wouldn’t. He told me he has nothing against the cast or even the fact that they’re doing a remake. But a cameo is just something he wasn’t interested in. He said he’s very happy with his life right now and enjoys giving back to the community.
I think Rampage Jackson is the perfect replacement for the character in spirit, but can he act? I guess we’ll find out.

Those are actually really good reasons not to make a cameo. As far as Rampage acting, check out ‘Blood and Bone’, you’ll see he pretty much makes Mr.T look like Daniel Day Lewis.
It’s always a little odd when a celebrity make coherent well thought and sane comments.
I give him props for not being an attention whore. So, what’s the deal with this Mr. T World of Warcraft commercial? :)

Rampage can’t act… but let’s be real… he doesn’t really have to.
When you watch the old (amazing) show, Mr.T often didn’t have more than 3 lines. I remember a couple of episodes where he didn’t have ANY.
I think having “T” in the movie, without being BA would have felt wrong. I love T, but I’m glad he’s not doing a cameo.
I pity dem FOOLS! no Mr. T cameo?

Too bad they can’t announce they’ve decided to scrap the film altogether.
