New The Wolfman Posters Online

Posted by Rodneyon 27. 11. 2009in News Chat

With Benicio Del Toro’s The Wolfman still about a year away, we get a fresh look at two more posters to promote the film.

I like these new posters. We finally get a better look at the Wolfman himself and I am a little disappointed that he looks so traditional. But its not a bad thing, I was just hoping to see something a little different.

The poster on the right is definitely one I want on my wall.

  2. Brendan says:

Hm… wasn’t Anthony Hopkins Van Helsing in Bram Stroker’s Dracula?

  3. 420BAND says:

Tradition is good with Werewolves in my book.

looks better than tweenies with no shirts on

  4. Mike Mai says:

these posters are very standard. typical werewolves cliches. either feature a girl or a moon. i recently worked on 2 werewolves book covers and was told to do options like these. neither got picked fortunately. there are better concepts

  5. Colin says:

I agree with the traditional look being best for werewolves; definitely better than the angst-ridden-poodle-with-fangs look flying around recently.

In my opinion, An American Werewolf in London still has the best werewolf creation and was way ahead of its time.

    • Rodney says:

Name one movie with a werewolf that is a “poodle with fangs”

You can’t. That statement is exaggerated to the point that its not valid.

      • Colin says:

Compared to the “traditional” werewolf look (please note I am well aware they are fictional, thus a traditional look isn’t always required) there isn’t a recent depiction that does it any justice. It’s also quite apt that you replied given on the basis that you knew exactly what I meant by what was said.

When did I ever say it was a statement of fact? the very fact I’m posting on an opinion-based blog would imply that it’s an opinion. Just because you don’t like it is of no relevance.
