Family Guy Something Something Darkside Trailer Online

The very cleverly named Blue Harvest Family Guy Star Wars special spoofed and paid tribute to the first Star Wars film (that’s Episode 4 for you young’uns) and did it with class. Now it looks like another chapter in the Family Guy Star Wars saga will continue with Family Guy: Something SOmething Darkside and will be out on BluRay and DVD on December 22nd.

Cinematical lays it out:

Holy ship! The Family Guy empire strikes back with another hilarious parody of your favorite sci-fi saga! May the laughs be with you as (Chris) Skywalker joins forces with (Peter) Solo and Princess (Lois) Leia to battle (Stewie) Vader and his Imperial minions. A host of new characters comes along for the wild ride, including Mort Goldman as Lando Calrissian, Chris’s boss Carl as Yoda, and the Giant Chicken as the nefarious Boba Fett. It’s an outrageous, out-of-this-world experience you’ll “saber” for light-years to come!”

Now while that trailer pretty much lays it out and shows us lots of the gags, I suspect that they will have more up their sleves than just these gems.

In “stunning 2-D” and the Giant Chicken as Fett (I love that running gag), so how can you lose?

A Return of the Jedi spoof is already in the works titled We Had A Bad Feeling About This. I wonder if they will stop with the Original Trilogy or carry on with the new Trilogy as well?

I feel like I’m the only one who thinks this but I only liked the first 3 seasons of Family Guy. It seems to me like they’ve gotten to the point where they can’t come up with original jokes so they keep reusing the same jokes over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over. It’s gets tiresome.

I got really into American Dad however, but I think that’s because it has different writers.

You’re certainly not the only one that thinks that. I know more people that think that than otherwise.

I hear people say that but I have to completely disagree. I think the new season of Family Guy is better than ever. While it’s true that they do recycle some of the jokes/plot of previous episodes, the show is still the funniest thing on TV. Some of my favs from this season are the one where Brian and Stewie go back in time (the cow says “SHAZOOM!” and where they travel to alternate universes.

I always prefer the episodes that focus on Brian and Stewie over Peter-centric episodes. I find that it’s the Peter episodes that are getting a bit stale.

I agree with you Soggie G. Family Guy spends too much time on fart and poop jokes and jokes that last 30 seconds too long. Usually when the show centers around Peter…I would turn it off but the husband still likes the show. The only time I laugh anymore is when there is a good Stewie and Brian storyline…that’s when my daughter and I enjoy an episode.

I typically find the first 5..maybe 10 minutes funny and spend the rest of the episode rolling my eyes and wanting to toss something at the TV screen. Good thing I can usually just go on my laptop and ignore what’s going on.

“Hey! No cleaning while I’m doing the hologram. Hey! Hey shut that off!”

I refuse to believe that anyone is looking forward to this.

You might want to refuse principals such as death and taxes while your at it.

In case you want some consistency in your life.

it’s kinda like Stale Doritos, you know their stale but you still eat the rest of the bag.

Family guy seems to be on like every channel at night.. gettin old.

I’ll of course watch this, but I only enjoyed maybe half of the first Star Wars spoof. I enjoy Robot Chicken way better. This last week they mixed up some old Star Wars sketches with some new ones (well, ones that didn’t make the original cut before) and it was still funnier than Family Guy, but that’s just me.

Awesome, I loved the first one! That trailer got me excited for this!
