How to Train Your Dragon Teaser Trailer Online

By Rodney - September 15, 2009 - 05:23 America/Montreal

A teaser trailer has hit the net for Dreamworks’ How to Train your Dragon, a film adapted from the popular Cressida Cowell kids book of the same title

If this is succesful I imagine they will continue to hit up more of the books in the “How to…” series that are instruction books written by the oddly clever viking swordfighter Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III.

My kids are going to eat this up.

The film will feature voice acting by Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, and Kristen Wiig.

Looking forward to this. Trailer does not show much and the ‘from the creators’ hype is a little inaccurate, should be ‘from the studio’. The creator of the book it’s based on is Cressida Cowell. The directors used to be at the House of Mouse and this is their first Dreamworks movie so ‘from the creators’ is a little off. That said Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois co-wrote and co-directed Lilo and Stich, one of the most under appreciated 2D animated films from Disney. They both left Disney after executives decided they wanted changes on American Dog, an orginal story from Sanders. After the exec’s mucked stuff up, John Lasseter came in and righted the course and the film became Bolt, a surprsingly good non-Pixar 3D film. In all Sanders and DeBlois are a very talented team and the source material is pretty good too, this could be awesome.

It is accurate. The creators of those films are the ones bringing you THIS film.

It would be inaccurate if it said the creators of those movies wrote the books.

Well if it is Dreamworks I will probably like it, have to say if that is a trailer then they might want to rethink what the heck they are doing. Its about as interesting as eating chalk.
