From Paris With Love Poster And Trailer

Look, we all know John Travolta is a dreadful actor… and I know it as well as anyone… but for some reason I seem to have a bit of a soft spot for the guy when he’s either playing a villain (Face Off, Broken Arrow) or a crazy guy. So it is with much shame that I tell you I’m actually sort of looking forward to seeing his new flick “From Paris With Love” in which he co-stars with Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

The sysnopsis for the film looks something like this: “Director Pierre Morel (who just gave us the Liam Neeson film “Taken” earlier this year) is brining us his newest action flick “From Paris With Love” which focuses on a US agent being played by John Travolta, who is sent to Paris and is partnered up with a low ranking agent (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) at the embassy in order to stop an international terrorist attack.”

The movie is set to come out in 2010. Check out the trailer (which I like) and poster bellow. (source: Ramascreen)

I don’t think Travolta was dreadful in ‘Michael’, or Pulp Fiction for that matter.

  2. The Dude says:

This actually looks f@cking sweet! “One shot Baby!” YEAH!

  3. Anti-Septic says:

Well, I have to disagree with your assessment because Travolta is terrible as the villain, simply because he is too likable a fellow to be convincing as the bad guy. I think he is at his best when he is not forced to continually do his lame pulp fiction routine over and over. I can’t say that Travolta is playing a bad guy in this film, his role looks more like the antagonist cop who wont stop until the job is done.

Since Jonathan Rhys Meyers is in this movie, I am interested in seeing it, and looking forward to it.

  4. Juan says:

I have 2 disagree with trovolta being a “dreadful” actor he has shown his talent in some movies, I think the only thing bad is some of the movies he chooses to work in arnt so great , but besides that he is anything but “dreadful” as an actor

  5. bigsampson says:

he has his own swag….out of all the people ive met in my life…its the ones with there own swag that you remember…he has that charisma about him.
Im not saying he is a awesome thespian, but he is fun in a lot of movies.

  6. Shock says:

Dam this poster look’s kick ass! Travolta need’s a good movie hope this is it!

  7. Pendragon says:

does he not look like ming the merciless in that picture

  8. JohnZDelorean says:

One of the worst movie posters ever! Looks more like a parisian sex toy.

  9. joe says:

i think “training day” might’ve been the best modern “bad cop with honest protege” movie there is, and i didn’t even like that movie too much! this movie looks like sheeet to me

  10. DirkAnger23 says:

I hopethis shit goes direct to video cause that trailer looked TERRIBLE. It was like a half assed version of the original Lethal Weapon with Travolta as Riggs.

  11. Lars1235 says:

wow we all know you suck john, but “dreadful actor”… haha, some of the most pathetic stuff ive read here.

  12. JeffGrey says:

He’s not a dreadful actor. He’s certainly been in some shit movies, but John, as a filmmaker yourself, I’d have thought you’d know the difference.

  13. Jim says:

He isn’t a bad actor. He’s done some really great work, just not over the last few years. He is actually rather bad playing a villain because he totally hams it up and sadly not in a good way.

As for this film I will say it actually looks sort of fun, but of course I could be eating my words.

  14. Ifaz says:

I honestly don’t think travolta is a ”dreadful” actor. Maybe he was bad in a couple of movies but on the other hand he did a lot of good ones too.
