Katee Sackhoff as Typhoid Mary in Daredevil Reboot?

In wild speculation Golden Apple Comics in LA had a surprise visit from Katee Sackhoff attempting to buy them out of every Typhoid Mary comic in their stock.
She said it was “for a role” so we don’t know if she is courting to play Typhoid Mary, or a character like her Tie this in with rumours that Marvel wants to Reboot Daredevil, and the rumour mill hits the ground running.
The actress rumored to be playing this character is BSG’s Katee Sackhoff. Los Angeles-based Golden Apple Comics is reporting that Sackhoff recently came in and grabbed every comic should could find featuring Typhoid Mary.“So we got a little visit in our comic shop last week by Katee Sackhoff, also known as Starbuck for her role on BSG. She proceeded to grab all the Typhoid Mary comics we had and has hopes to get a part for a marvel movie…”
Now I haven’t heard anything about a Typhoid Mary movie adaptation coming out, but this may well be the best hint we get that Marvel is moving forward with its latest swipes at Rebooting its less popular films.
We just got a new Hulk film a short time after the last one was less than well recieved by the fans, and now they may be turning their eye to rejuvinate Daredevil. I actually liked the Daredevil film.
I think it would be a smart move to avoid the Elektra character for now, as the bad taste of the spinoff is still in our mouths. But if they are going to reboot Daredevil, this would be the way to go. Typhoid Mary has served as both an adversary and lover to Daredevil.
Mary is damaged goods, which we know Sackhoff is good at playing, but she is also a trained assassin and we know Sackhoff can kick some ass. I’d like to see Sackhoff playing some more feminine roles that also play to her believable physical strengths.
I don’t need another 80lb Barbie Doll playing a warrior woman.
I heard that Jason Statham wants to play Daredevil if they were to remake the film.
Statham would be freakin awesome for the role.

I can see Stratham as Bullseye not as Daredevil…now that would be awesome! He would blow away Colin Farrell!
I’d rather see her play Wonder Woman - that’d be a more fitting challenge for her. Typhoid Mary is too easy, too similar to Starbuck. If it gets her up on the big screen in a big superhero film, I guess you have no choice but to go for it. But she could do bigger than this.
I don’t know that Daredevil needs a reboot. I just think the film wasn’t particularly great. I don’t think it was necessarily bad, it just didn’t grab you and make you like, “WOW!” Not every comic film is going to be a blockbuster, and i think DD is one of those that was just okay. A spinoff or sequel could be alright with the right story. They woulnd’t need to scrap the original and start over. I’m not even a big affleck fan, but I think he did pretty good in the role.
I think this a great move for the franchise and for Sackhoff. This will boost her profile to a much larger audience and she should do that with a role she excels in. If this does go through, the casting of Daredevil will be critical.

A reboot of DD would be awesome. Dare Devil is one of the most interesting super heroes to date. If they do reboot it, they need to follow the Hulks lead by catching up on the back story in the opening credits, and then start completely new from there on out. If this is going to happen, I really hope that they get someone who can act this time around to play Dare Devil.

But she was studying Typhoid Mary who has little if any story at all outside of the Daredevil books.
There is no word of them greenlighting a Typhoid movie, but they have been talking a lot about redoing Daredevil. Its all speculation, but this is the option that makes the most sense when jumping to conclusions.
true, but she does/did have a small presence in captain america, spider-man and as of late the avengers:initiative as mutant zero…
I rented Daredevil a short time ago, expecting to hate it because of the reviews…I actually quite liked it.
Daredevil was great except for the terrible use of nu-metal every time there was an action scene. I really hope they do it up right with any new film.
I too enjoyed Daredevil. Director’s Cut is even better. Now, is FOX going to remake it with Marvel pushing, or is Marvel Studios going to take this one? I hope it’s the latter. I just hope they can find a good Matt Murdock. I liked Affleck, but we won’t see him again. He said “no” to tights, which is why there was no sequel.
And are 3R!C & Matt Keith out of their minds? Statham cannot be Matt Murdock.

Rodney oddly doesn’t count the character’s Mutant Zero likeness, nor ties to Deadpool.
Deadpool or Daredevil (the latter of which I don’t think one iota should be rebooted, but just recast) - neither script is around, and it is simply research into a character which she may lobby for.
Regardless- I don’t mind her in the role in either possible film.
It’s too bad she wans’t researching Thor. She’s my kind of Enchantress all the way…

has anyone else heard that she may be researching the role for the Deadpool movie. That “little if any story outside Daredevil” is a Deadpool story if I am not mistaken.

I personally don’t like her myself. I dont see her as Typhoid Mary, I thought the previous Mary was fine in the Electra movie. It was just that the script was so bad that most people didnt even know it was her unless you were a fan.
So true. I thought she had the look but they totally just misused the character and the abilities of the character.
Daredevil reboot would be awesome. He’s one of my favorite characters, it’s the ones without powers who have to be the best. Ben Affleck didn’t do justice to Matt Murdock. He’s such a complex tormented character. Reboot it! Daredevil wears tights you don’t like it don’t play him. Typhoid Mary would be good too. Yes, she does also tie in to Deadpool. But if they reboot and reintroduce a new black and white clad bullseye and typhoid Mary they could freely be used as Wade wilsons competition in his movie. Deadpool and daredevil share a lot of characters, they had a team up series after all
