Julia Child is the celebrity, but in telling her story this film turns to the true story of someone less celebrated.

/Film calls it:

“Based on two true stories, Julie & Julia intertwines the lives of two women who, though separated by time and space, are both at loose ends…until they discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible. ”

I am a sucker for anything with Amy Adams in it, and in this trailer, I find her to be utterly plain… which is the point. She still maintains her charm while showing how the life of someone unremarkable becomes fulfulling and paralelling that with another true story. It is a very interesting way to tell a story of someone notable, while using someone who isn’t.

I really want to see this.
