Star Trek Next Generation Cast in New Star Trek?

Sometimes the best leaked information isn’t from that guy who works at a studio pretending to be a fan who “knows a guy” but rather from the mouth of those involved that trip over their own tongues and slip something they might not have wanted to say.
Latino Review offers up:
When it came time to talk about Star trek’s prequel comics, they were talking about how the Next Generation cast plays an important role in the story of the prequel and that in the last issue, (issue 4 I believe) it ends in a major cliffhanger with Nero that leads right into the new J.J. Abrams Star Trek movie.“The end of issue 4 is a cliffhanger and is going to continue in the first few minutes of the movie.”
Right after that was said, another writer (or artist) said that part of the movie will take place with the Next Generation cast and to look out for that. Another guy on the panel gave him a quick “uh oh” look.
After that, someone from the audience asked “So are members of the Next Generation cast in the new Trek movie?” to which the same guy replied, “I really cannot say anything about that.”
Oops! I think you already did!
We speculated a while ago why Picard and Data were pictured on the prequel comic that will lead up into the movie.
I think it is a great idea to have the old lead into the story that will relaunch the new. Well the new old new.
My head hurts.
Can’t wait to see how this plays out.

According to Trek Movie, there are no TNG cameos in the film.

Right now, if the comic continues the way it is going, I could see either Picard or Data in the movie opening sequence
As a person who never really cared for the original movies or telivised series…i have to say this movie looks like its gonna blow my socks off….i really like the set of tng cause it was very modern and simple….maybe cause its my generation of star trek but i do think tng was good…so this is a plus for me as a star trek newbie
DS9 was the best Trek by far.
no offence but ds9 was a soap opera for the slow and mindless. Back to topic, if the tng cast was in it it must be one of those time , space continuim things bc it was about 50 or so year after kirk bc remember the episode where they found scotty in the transporter for 70years, and data didnt arrive to the show till the (i beleaved it was called , could be wrong)farscape mission episode. Anyway the movie will be good( i hope). cant wait.
