Robin Hood Casts its Royalty

We are getting closer to the Russell Crowe take on the Robin Hood legend, and now a press release says that tells of some of the supporting cast of nobles and their dedicated public servants will be.
Joining Crowe and Blanchett for the film are Oscar® winner Vanessa Redgrave (Julia, Atonement) as John and Richard’s mother, Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine; Mark Strong (Body of Lies, Stardust) as King John’s vicious henchman, Sir Godfrey; Oscar Isaac (Che, Body of Lies) as King John; and Léa Seydoux (13 French Street, upcoming Inglourious Basterds) as the woman who will become queen, French Princess Isabella.
Sounds like a solid cast so far, and though I have complete faith in Russell Crowe, I still wish this movie was going to be the rumoured Nottingham story. In that variation Crowe was playing the Sherriff of Nottingham, bound by his duty to a corrupt Prince, and disguising himself as Robin Hood to fight back. That idea put a fresh spin on the story, and so far this story sounds the same as every other Robin Hood story.
But the cast is shaping up nicely, and Crowe hasn’t let me down. So I am still hopeful!
Well Crowe is going to have to lose weight though. In that Iraq movie with Leonardo Dicaprio he looked obese (not just fat, obese. And old)
Kate I love you.
Well on a good note atleast he’ll have an accent unlike the Kevin Costner Prince of Theives and perhaps we’ll see Morgan Freeman run around with that huge ass sword again!
this movie seems like its shaping up to be a good flick
Russell Crowe good guy?
Who is directing this movie by the way?
But Crowe looked old as hell and fat as fuck in Body of Lies. There’s only one and that’s Kevin C.
yeah i enjoyed kevin costners robin hood alot, but he can always go on a diet, actors change their physical appearance(lose weight, gain weight, dye hair, etc) to match their character
