‘The Lost Boys:The Tribe’ Trailer!
The trailer for the most hyped up Straight to DVD sequel of all time is finally upon us! MTV just premiered the trailer for ‘The Lost Boys:The Tribe and if you click HERE you can watch it for yourself.
The computer I’m working on can not access the site for some reason, (BOO!) but that doesn’t mean you guys should miss out too.
So click HERE and tell me all the gory and bloody details! Do the Frog Brothers kick ass? Does Corey Haim look out of place? Is it going to bite the big one or does it look like it could be an over the top cheesy good time? I’m a huge fan of the first film, (in fact I know it by heart) and although I think a DTV sequel to this film is a bad idea, I can’t help being curious about this either!

I thought Correy Haim and Correy Feldman were supposed to be in this sequal… Now maybe I missed Haim in the trailer but he was no where to be found.
To be honest, this looks alike a stright to DVD release. Even with that being said, growing up in the 80’s The Lost Boys was a great movie and I will have to see this no matter what!

On the up side (?) Feldman upstages everybody else in that trailer. How often does THAT happen?

I watched the trailer a couple of times and I have to say it definitely has that direct to DVD vibe going on. IF it gets any type of theatrical release I think it’ll be limited.
I still want to see this even if only for nostalgia and to laugh at the badness. I think I’ll even have a couple of drinks beforehand.
I also went to YouTube to look up the Lost Boys trailer, which still looks better than The Tribe because this new head vampire can’t come close to touching the presence of Kiefer and the girls in this flick are nowhere near the hotness of Jamie Gertz. http://youtube.com/watch?v=hsv_NQFbQzo

Thanks Serena! :D Watched it. I think that, yes, it does look like a direct to dvd movie, but it also looks fun. Love the use of “Cry Little Sister” and when I saw one of the vamps in a skeleton outfit I thought of Karate Kid, right away. Guess I’m a movie geek. :P

I’m with Jeremy on this one. It looks like one of those fun bad straight to DVD movies. Just my two cents, Corey Feldman looks like a freakin kid in that trailer.

Okay so let’s redo some shots from the original movie (the vampire characters face hiding in the dark looks familiar), but with different actors that look similar to the original cast i.e. Kiefer Sutherlands in particular. Add some up to date stunts i.e. vampires and motorbikes worked well last time…Mmmm…let’s do that again. Then get a band to cover the original track (that is if this is a cover, can’t tell because it sounds the same as the first freakin’ film!!!!).
Just watch the f**king original and move on!

So I’ve seen the trailer and umm…yeah…this has Straight to DVD written all over it. Also, I think Corey Haim is shown in a quick frame in the shower with someone. My thoughts is that Sam gets killed off very early on in the movie. (This could explain why it was so easy to get him back for reshoots.)
