So what do you do with a troubled, reckless and apparently sick individual like Lindsay Lohan? Well, the answer seems obvious… you put in her a Charles Manson movie! The folks at Yahoo give us this:
E! News has learned exclusively that Lindsay Lohan has signed on to star as Nancy Pitman, once a loyal member of Charles Manson’s not-so-merry band, in the movie Manson Girls.
Pitman grew up in wealthy household in Malibu, and at 16 she was introduced to Manson by a friend, according to published reports. She fell under his spell, moving in with him and becoming one of his most ardent followers. She was home with Manson on the night he dispatched members of his “Family” to the former home of ex-business associate Terry Mechler, where they ended up brutally killing actress Sharon Tate and four others.
Personally I couldn’t care less if we never saw Lohan on the screen again. I’ve always found her to be a talentless flavor of the month gossip rag girl who is essentially a dime a dozen and has no place in leading roles. Am I being clear enough?
Having said that, this could be an interesting roll for Lohan. Clearly it’ll be an edgy roll… the type of roll that can make a career if handled right. Let’s say for arguments sake that the movie is a good one and Lohan actually pulls it off well. The up side to doing this movie is HUGE for her and it gives her the opportunity for people to take her seriously again.
I don’t think that’ll happen mind you… but it’s possible (however unlikely).

Can we just go ahead and sacrifice her to a Sun God or something? Honestly, I really don’t want her on the screen.
Is that even Lohan in the picture? If so its the first time I have ever found her remotely attractive.
Yes, that’s her, Ray. She’s had other photos which shows off her cleave and her legs, and, with most airbrushing after the fact, makes her look hot . But that recent shoot she did for Vanity Fair (nude Monroe-ish behind fabric) makes her look less of a fox and more of a dog.
As for this project, I wonder if it picked up steam not because Lohan wants a part, but the recent headlines of the mummified graves they found at the Manson farm. Still, it takes a lot of guts for Lohan to play a crazy…out of control…brainwashed…uh…um… okay, let me try again… It takes a lot of courage to play a psycho flower power hippie with a swatzitka carved into your forehead…

I never cared for Lohanita at all when she had a real career in movies, but I’m really getting entertained by her choices now.
First she shows her boobies and now she’s playing a crazy follower of Manson? Great stuff. What will she do next? Can’t wait to find out.
It seems like Doug was right about her after all. She will never get back on the Hollywood A-List, but she could become the next Queen of B-Movies. She can pull it off. She’s not a bad actress, she’s just really trashy. I would applaud her for it.
Considering she’s been on the lesser side of the gossip trades I’d like to think she’s serious about getting her life on track. I once thought she had a lot of potential till she pissed it all away. She’s a long ways from regaining any respectability, but if she keeps herself on track I think a second chance isn’t too much ask.
Of course if you just don’t like her…that’s cool. :)
