Brad Pitt May Star In Tree of Life
It looks like Brad Pitt left State Of Play to cover Heath Ledger’s spot in Tree Of Life; It is a key party with films for spouses. We get word of this casting news from the professionals at Variety:
Pitt, who recently ankled the Universal Pictures drama “State of Play,” would replace Heath Ledger, who was skedded to star with Sean Penn in the Malick-directed drama, which begins production in the spring. Though Penn is booked to play the title character in the Gus Van Sant-directed “Harvey Milk,” he’s still expected to play a supporting role in “Tree of Life.” Penn has an allegiance to River Road’s Pohlad, who co-financed with Paramount Vantage the Penn-directed “Into the Wild.”No deals have been made with Pitt or Penn. Pitt would have earned $20 million against gross to star in “State of Play,” but he’ll likely sign on to “Tree of Life” for nearly no upfront money.
According to IMDB Malik began work on this project in 1978 and is now returning to it almost 30 years on. This story must be good because not only did it stand the test of time; it has Sean Penn and Brad Pitt wanting to be a part of it. This is a fantastic story that deserves a movie of its own. I shouldn’t judge, it took me 27 years to get my full license to drive.
Brad Pitt and Sean Penn are both on my shortlist of “bitchin’ actors” and it would be cool to see them work together. I am not sure what this movie is about yet, I am hunting for information about the film, and will be sure to forward the news to you, as soon as it is made available to me!

I did a repaint on a car for the movie (55 Chev SW more earthy colors) and tried to get the lowdown on movie. I do know it is not only being filmed in Smithville TX but filming is being done in several other countries as well. I understand the script is guarded so I will keep the little I know to myself. I am very much looking forward to this movie.

My 6 year old daughter and I were fitted in our 1950’s clothing today for the movie. We had a blast! I am really excited to begin our scene soon. I am honored to even have a small part in a movie which Heath Ledger was supposed to star in.

It is our understanding that they housed the star in just a ordinary
old home in Matoagorda Town Nothing fancy..
The beach there since the state took it over is beautiful!

Our 1949 Chevy and my husband are both in the movie… They even asked my husband to drive some of the other antique cars. Hope they don’t edit him or our car out of the movie.. Hope to see our 1949 Chevy and/or my husband when everything is said and done.

just finished with the shoot in Austin TX. Met the 3 young stars of this movie. So polite, so perfect for this movie. Hunter is a gem. The cars especially the 56 chrysler Imperial are amazing. Smithville shootoing is next… then off to unknown.
