Whiteout

I’ll see anything Kate Beckinsale is going to be in. Having said that, I’d much rather see her in something that has her suited up in tight black leather or a bikini… but I’ll take her any way I can get her… even if she’s bundled up for sub zero weather… thus enter the upcoming new film “Whiteout“.

Whiteout is based on the graphic novel of the same name. Amazon described the story as:

You can’t get any further down than the bottom of the world - Antarctica. Cold, desolate, nothing but ice and snow for miles and miles. Carrie Stetko is a U.S. Marshal, and she’s made The Ice her home. In its vastness, she has found a place where she can forget her troubled past and feel at peace… Until someone commits a murder in her jurisdiction and that peace is shattered. The murderer is one of five men scattered across the continent, and he has more reason to hide than just the slaying. Several ice samples were taken from the area around the body, and the depth of the drilling signifies something particular was removed. Enter Lily Sharpe, who wants to know what was so important another man’s life had to be taken for it. But are either of the women prepared for the secrets and betrayals at the core of the situation?

The new poster (via Cinematical) looks pretty good, and like I said I”ll see anything Beckinsale is going to grace… not just because she’s one of the hottest women on the planet, but also because she’s a damn fine actress (She blew my mind in “The Aviator”). As of right now there doesn’t seem to be a firm release date other than “2008″… so I guess anytime within the next 13 months.

    I like it

A lot better than the other poster, where it seems they digitally added in her face.

If she did a dog food commercial I’d buy a dog! is she still tagged to play Barberella????? If so she’ll be heads and tails (joke there somewhere…) above Jane Fonda!

I read the book. Pretty good, but there are various choices that I doubt the movie will commit too. I’m impressed they managed to set it in the antarctic and not spring break Cancun.

    Underworld?
