Kevin Smith Wants Rosario Dawson In ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO
I’ve grown to like Kevin Smith more and more. A lot of people roll their eyes at me when I say this… but I honestly thought Clerks 2 was one of the best comedies I’ve ever seen (As a matter of fact, I put Clerks 2 on my original top 100 films of all time list before it got edited). Smith’s writing style (as he’s gotten older) has not “matured” so to speak… but developed. When you look past the donkey sex and deep philosophical discussion on the merits of ass-to-mouth, I found it to be a really accurate look at how many people in my age group are looking at themselves, their lives, their futures, and the meaning of their friendships.. all while being seriously funny.
With this evolution of Smith, I find myself more than ever really anticipating whatever he does next. As many of you know, one of Smith’s upcoming projects is a comedy entitled “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” which I think sounds just hilarious. And who does Kevin Smith want the role of Miri to go to? Looks like Clerks 2 star Rosario Sawson. Our friends at JoBlo give us this:
However, it seems like there will be at least one familiar face, as Smith told MTV that: “I wrote [the role of Miri] for Rosario Dawson… I’d be kind of flabbergasted if she didn’t do it.”
I was stunned how well Dawson fit into the Smith style. She was breathtaking in that movie… every regular guys dream girl. I hope she can fit this one into her schedule… I’d love to see her doing more of Smith’s comedy.

I also love Kevin Smith. It’s kind of fun that “Zach and Miri” is set in St. Cloud, MN which is my home town. It’s by no means a special town for any reason but is some how significant in the View Askewniverse. It seems to be displayed prominental intentionally on the cover of “Jay & Bob Strike Back”.
I’m going to try to offer Kevin the use of my father’s restaurant in St. Cloud for shoot. That’s if he even plans on shooting in Minnesota. But he seems to like shooting here. Yes, I realzie this sounds stupid but piss off.

Old news, really old news. Smith mentioned writing the script with Dawson in mind long ago, there’s even an interview with her floating around where she mentions having no knowledge of the project. Here’s a tip for your next post, Shia LaBeouf will star in the Transformers movie! OMG!

this sounds like it could be a great project. i hope all works out and smith can make the movie he wrote. damn shes fine.

although you are most definitely wrong about clerks 2 being one of the best comedies of all time…unless that list was a list 5000 films long and it came in at number 5000…then maybe
however if you had said clerks 2 was one of the most disappointing and embarrasingly desperate films of all time then you would have been spot on.
