The Ten Trailer

“The Ten” is a movie I’ve been dying to see for a long time (I first wrote about it way back in August”). The basic idea is that the movie is a collection of 10 separate mini stories each revolving around one of the Ten Commandments. fantastic idea, backed up by a great cast which includes: Jessica Alba, Famke Janssen, Winona Tyder, Amanda Peet, Rob Corddry, Ron Silver, Paul Rudd, Adam Brody and Oliver Platt. Not bad.

Well, this morning Jake gave me the heads up on a trailer for the project. It’s REALLY odd… but it’s just a trailer. I can’t wait to see this film.

Yes, she did say “fuck me” at the end of the trailer. I liked it a lot, thought it was pretty cool how they really gave no indication that it was a comedy, besides the greatly talented cast. Another thing that was cool about the trailer is that it seems to have a couple of abstract scenes, involving only a stage and door frame in the Paul Rudd scene.

Interesting, but I doubt it would top The Decalogue. Shame I haven’t seen it yet. Hopefully The Ten is as good.

with a cast like that it has to be amazing. “fuck me”, that rules.

Kinda reminds me of National Lampoon’s “Favorite Deadly Sins” (1995). Andrew Dice Clay in “Anger” was absofuckinglutely hysterical.

The Philadelphia Film Society just announced that The Ten will open the Philadelphia Film Festival in April. So if you really are dying to see it, you can make your way to Philly for its east coast premiere. Though the film doesn’t look that good to me, but, hey, that’s me.
