The second clip is really funny too, especially when Maggie breaks her bottle in a bar-brawlish fashion.

The first one was ok but the second one reminded me of the newer Simpsons seasons. That is not a good thing. I used to be a BIG Simpsons fan… I still think that the older episodes are brilliant, but the new ones are simply unwatchable crap. This series should have been cancelled years ago. Hopefully the movie will be better.

Looks like You Tube took it down. I bet Fox made them do it too, which is stupid.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to see a Simpsons Movie because they haven’t been funny for quite some time, but after watching the videos I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.

Fox should let You Tube keep showing it, or heck, release some more clips to get people hyped up for the movie.

I prefer the other clip. “They might take Grandpa” - ” I’m part of the mob!”

Please, please, please make The Simpsons film good so it can die with some dignity. It’s been coughing a lot lately, and sometimes it forgets my name. The other week, I found splotches of blood in its underwear.

The clips look good, though, so there’s hope. You can do it, Groening! Remember Maximus!

A.J., you can’t be serious. The simpsons have redeemed themselves in the past 2 years. They did get kinda stale a few years back, but here lately I’ve laughed my ass off at them.

John, I’m very excited at these storyboards, especially the first one ( which from the site I got them from last night, was the one about the mob and maggie breaking the bottle ) It couldnt’ be better material from what I’ve seen.

The idea that the movie “better be good because the show sucks and should go out with a bang” just sounds to me like a recycled talking point from any old simpsons news thread on any old site.
I’ve heard this line too many times to take it even remotely seriously.

just my two cents, as always.

To clarify: I don’t think The Simpsons sucks, but I do think it’s on its last legs. It is without doubt the finest thing to ever grace the television, but nothing can last forever. How many more stories are there?

My hope is simply that the film is as good as The Simpsons is capable of being, and that the creators have the good grace to call it quits and go out on top.

    mogulus:

I checked couple of new episodes from this season and I did not see any improvement at all. Maybe I checked the wrong episodes (one with RDA and the one with Ricky Gervais), but I doubt it.
