Brett Ratner has been talking about who he wants in Rush Hour 3. Here is what he says through Comingsoon:
Obviously, Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are back, but Ratner talked with ComingSoon.net about some of the actors he’d love to bring in for the third installment. “I’ll tell you who I’m going after,” he said with a burst of excitement. “I want Yao Ming, the basketball player, to be in it. I want to recreate the fight sequence from the Bruce Lee movie where he fights Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, but I want to do the reverse; I want Chris Tucker to fight Yao Ming. I want that to happen. I want Aishwarya Rai [the biggest female star in Bollywood] and I would love Gong Li [last seen in Memoirs of a Geisha] to be in the movie. There’s some people that I want, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to get them. Tony Jaa [star of last year’s Ong Bak: Thai Warrior] I want, too. I love him.”
I really like Tony Jaa and would love to see him in this film. Rush Hour 3 starts filming on August 16th in Paris and New York, the film will begin in new york and move to paris but Ratner is filming in reverse.

Tony Jaa would be awesome in the movie. Maybe he could play a role like Jet Li in Lethal Weapon 4 and be just as tough as it would have to take both Tucker and Chan at the same time to defeat him.

Jackie Chan appeared for like 5 seconds in Tom Yum Goong. Possibly a hint for a future collaboration?
yao ming…someone slap mr. ratner….tony jaa sounds like a decent idea…think about it could be his us debut like jet li in lethal weapon 4…one thing though…tony jaa must kick the SHIT out of chris tucker for at least 20-30min…
Man if they got Jaa that would be amazing, shame Jackie is really getting on now and uses wires for a lot of his work. This could be Jaa’s big breakthrough role which would be kinda sweet, he is amazing in Ong Bak and just as good in Tom yum goong which has an even worse plot than Ong Bak, but plots got nothing to do with his movies really :p
