Steven Seagal with New CD “Mojo Priest”
Oh yes boys and girls. Everyone’s favorite chubby action star Steven Seagal has released a new music cd called “Mojo Priest”. Ummm… actually come to think of it…. I really like the title. Anyway…
So I went on over to the official page for the album and noticed that all the tracks have 30 second samples that you could listen to. So I decided to listen to them and got ready to laugh my ass off. But guess what… I actually liked what I heard. No seriously… I might actually buy this cd. Holy crap… never thought I’d say that.
It’s actually a mix blues/jazz/southrn kinda feel… and what can I say… I liked it. who da thunk? I think my favorite song title is “Talk to my Ass“.

Talk to my Ass? lol…does Ace Ventura sing backup. And is it just me, or is Steven Seagal looking more and more like Jim Belushi.

He looks like he really wants to snap that guitar and then go kill some drums. The song sample is okay. It’s not something I’d buy but I am really surprised that it’s not something I’d laugh hysterically at. I’ll save that for his movies.
By the by, have you heard William Shatner’s latest one? Again, weirdly, pretty good! It’s got Ben Folds and Aimee Mann on backing stuff too.

Not my type of music, but it could be a seller if advertised properly.
Let see now, an action movie star who does nothing but beat up bad guys with his bare hands on the big screen. How can he present his latest singing album?
I hope Steven is able to bring forth his acting abilities in the videos of his album. Maybe the same expressions on his face right before he’s about to break a dude’s nose. YEAH…I’m a freakin genius…just replace the “bad guy” with a “guitar”. HA!

Believe it or not, the boy was trolling the news forums he belongs to and came across the full album. He asked me if I would be interested, and I practically screamed “HELLS YEAH! Download that shit so we can laugh our asses off. That shit is worth the bandwidth suckage alone!”
And lo and behold… we loved his CD, too. We loved it like you did, John, and for the very same reasons. There are some cool world music, reggae and r&b songs on it. It left us dumbfounded and scratching our heads over why that mo’fo insisted on being an actor when his true calling is clearly music. Damn! I hate to admit that last bit, but there it is. I cannot deny his voice any longer. :-)

Well, I must say I was expecting some great material for my site - on a humorous note. But, I must say - this shit is better than half of the crap on Mtv these days. He’s got a great voice for the blues - and it works. It won’t sell - but its a decent album for blues. . .
